Horses and Beetles are taking the scene
The beauty of life and its natural materials are the main source of inspiration for the Milan-based designer Sara Ricciardi, who has created strikingly abstract vases with a playful sensibility.
In this particular collection of vases, she combines creativity with craftsmanship: she wanted to experiments the various techniques of applying color in blown glass.
For this project, she created a series of bizarre vases called "FAUNA" to investigate the jet of grits whose distribution is not perfectly governed. These grits were reminding her of the mottled skins of animals and this is why her collection is composed as a fauna of glass and brass: a horse and two beetles are spotted in her designs, all with bright colors, those that nature does not have never afraid to wear.
